Notice Santécom: 120453

Seeking to improve access to diagnostic examinations and the appropriateness of their use, the Ministry of Health and Social Servicesasked INESSS to produce a report containing recommendations on clinical situations where diagnostic imaging is frequently used and costly and for which clarification of  appropriate indications would benefit from being clarified, in order to reduce the rate of inappropriate examinations.

Following an analysis of the recent literature and after obtaining expert consensus, INESSS has issued a set of recommendations with the potential to increase the appropriateness of diagnostic imaging use in cases of headache.
