First wave of the COVID-19 pandemic in québec: a look at the factors associated with hospitalization and death

This report presents a portrait of the sociodemographic profile, the comorbidities and the first hospital episode of the confirmed cases of infection by the SARS-CoV-2 virus in Québec during the first wave. This portrait was made possible due to the creation and use of a COVID cohort, combining information from epidemiologic surveillance banks and laboratory test results with medico-administrative databases to which INESSS has access. INESSS involved a consultative committee of several experts from the field in this work.
