Evaluation of adult tertiary and regional secondary trauma centres: Trends in outcome indicators, 2013-2018

As part of its mandate to plan and coordinate the evaluation of Québec’s 59 acute care facilities that have a trauma designation, INESSS’s Trauma and Critical Care Evaluation Unit agreed with the MSSS that, pending the updating of process indicators, an analysis of the most recent data available was required for adult tertiary level and regional secondary level facilities, which admit a large volume of patients and cases of major injury each year.

This state of practice thus presents an evaluation of the trends in outcome indicators for 2013 to 2018 for the eight adult tertiary and regional secondary trauma centres.
